2 Samuel 19:33-35
New English Translation

33 So the king said to Barzillai, “Cross over with me, and I will take care of you while you are with me in Jerusalem.”

34 Barzillai replied to the king, “How many days do I have left to my life, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem? 35 I am now eighty years old. Am I able to discern good and bad? Can I[a] taste what I eat and drink? Am I still able to hear the voices of male and female singers? Why should I[b] continue to be a burden to my lord the king?
